Acme House Company opened its doors in 2008, back when managing a vacation home in the desert often meant a lockbox and a hope for the best. We thought guests and homeowners both deserved better, so we built a company around doing the unglamorous things well: honest listings, clean homes, straight answers, and a phone that gets picked up.
We are locally owned and operated. Our office is on North Palm Canyon Drive in Palm Springs, and the people who care for our homes live in the communities they serve. Today we manage vacation homes across three desert markets: Palm Springs, Palm Desert & La Quinta, and Joshua Tree & the High Desert.
The recognition has been kind. Conde Nast Traveler named us one of the Top 10 Vacation Rental Managers To Trust Worldwide. The Palm Springs Bureau of Tourism has given us three Golden Palm Awards, Palm Springs Life readers voted us Best of the Best, and Desert Magazine named us Best of the Valley. We are proud of all of it, but the standard we hold ourselves to is simpler and harder: 100% satisfaction - 0% excuses.

Three desert markets: Palm Springs, Palm Desert & La Quinta, and Joshua Tree & the High Desert. Every home we manage is cared for by people who live and work nearby.
Listing sites are marketplaces; we are the manager. When you book with us, the people who answer your questions, prepare the home, and help during your stay are the same local team. You may find some of our homes on the big sites too, but booking direct means working with us from the first question to checkout.
